USNA or BUST!
I am now a senior at Rock Ridge High School in Ashburn, VA, but my sights are set much higher.
Pursuing my dream of attending the United States Naval Academy.

I strive to learn more. I question everything. I love literary classes, including English and history, but lean more towards the sciences as my main interest.
I have found a passion and love for the sport of rowing and intend on staying in the community for the rest of my life. I also enjoy shooting various firearms and want to further my experience in this field.
"Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on Earth."  ~ Mohammad Ali

I have been given a lot in my life, and it is very important to me that I give back. I have spent time at soup kitchens and food banks, and always love the busy nights supporting the Arc of Loudoun at Paxton Manor during their annual Shocktober and My Bloody Valentine fundraiser events.
Books and helicopters top my list. I am a voracious reader and a student pilot. I also love music and play the flute and drums (though the drums were a recent addition). I have also just started learning Korean to add to my knowledge of American Sign Language, which I have studied for three years.
The United States Naval Academy will prepare me the best in every aspect - morally, mentally, and physically - to represent my country's values with loyalty, honor, and respect and fulfill my duties as a naval officer to the absolute best of my ability. It is founded on honor, tradition, and prestige. The Naval Academy will not only prepare me the best for what my future holds, but will also provide a family that I can lean on throughout my time in service and for the rest of my life. I have never encountered such a community anywhere else.
I want to be a part of the brigade of midshipmen. I want to be a part of USNA.
Chemistry is the study of atoms and elements and their interactions. How to make a material stronger or weaker, more flexible or resilient; how to change a reaction so that explosives can be detonated more safely or energy can be produced more easily. Chemistry is called the central science because it brings together physical, life, and applied sciences. It is needed everywhere.
